US Equity Market - Week ending April 11, 2008

Earnings of US companies continue to be reported - generally lower, with weaker outlooks. For the week, S&P e-Futures declined 40 points.

Next week(April 14-18), bellweather earnings announcements are due from Intel(INTC), International Business Machines(IBM), JP Morgan Chase(JPM), Merrill Lynch & Co(MER), Wells Fargo & Co.(WFC), Google(GOOG) and Citigroup(C).

Tuesday April 15 is the deadline for filing a US federal tax return.

    So what do you think about that? Why are they lower with weaker outlooks? What does this mean? Tell me something I can’t read in the news.
